Photos from 2018 Moskus Runners Pour in from Around Greenland

Runners and enthusiasts from across Greenland show their support for the 2018 Running of the Moskus race participants.

In Kangerlussuaq, Runners came out in droves:

This year marked the 7th year of the Running of the Moskus, which has grown into a community event in the form of both organization and participation. All proceeds raised from the race are donated to the Kangerlussuaq school which starts up for the season around the same time as the race.  The run, which hosts a half marathon as well as a 5k Fun Run,  was a great success with local weather holding out for race day and saw well over 100 participants.

Support from afar:

People from around Greenland showed their support for racers at this year’s popular Running of the Moskus.  The U.S. Science research facility named Summit Station saw a dozen runners brave the harsh elements of the Greenlandic IceCap, as did a handful of hardy East GRIP locals as well.
